In Loving Memory of My Grandma
Since little, I recall my Grandmother garnishing
Carved salvers and urns with betel and cloves.
The golden compose painted a capturing mural the olden times,
The Thai heritage that conceived our present lives.
So I sat myself in crafting gold and silver fineries,
As a revelation to the wisdom of bygone mastery,
And as a memoir to our King the Great,
The Angel whose words light the paths await.
Each chiseled line inches our society closer to sufficiency.
Each shaping of the tureens feeds our community.
Passing on the art is not merely philosophy - but a way of life,
A fuel to body and soul, a drive to imperishable world for all.
Since little, I recall my Grandmother garnishing
Craved salvers and urns with betel and cloves.
The know-how still enraptures my generation of people,
Like a genuine diamond that remains timelessly admired,
A prideful contemporary bequest by Tiara Khanthong.
